Colonial Downs Racetrack ("Colonial Downs") announced today that live racing scheduled for Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9 has been rescheduled to Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13, respectively. This decision was made due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Debby, which could lead to adverse racing conditions and safety concerns for participants.
The Colonial Downs team is working closely with experts to assess whether heavy rain might affect the Colonial Downs Festival of Racing on Saturday, August 10. A decision regarding these races is expected by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, when more accurate data will be available.
